Wednesday is also TriZones Running Day. My Galloway Running friend, Sheri D., who ran with me at the Frankenthon Marathon also joined our group. Sheri and I ran our drills and repeats together and it was nice to have some competitive company. The effects of the OTC meds and the threatening cold on my run were hardly noticeable.
I got home, made dinner, ate dinner, showered, rolled and stretched my legs and feet and at 10:15 p.m. I completed the pushups for Week 2 Day 2: 14, 16, 12, 12 and my maximum was 21!
MY OBSERVATIONS:
- I didn't warm up my arms or upper body this time because I was already pretty warm from the run workout earlier in the evening. We'll see if I end up paying for it later (I doubt it though).
- I could really feel the muscles in my chest squeeze out the last pushup to make 21.
- The rests I took between sets were not consistent. Between set 1 & 2, I only took a 60 second rest. Between set 2 & 3, I took about a 120 second rest. Between set 3 & 4, I managed a 90 second rest and between set 4 & 5 I took another 120 second rest.
- After that activity, I couldn't go to sleep until about midnight - this is after I had taken a nighttime OTC med.
